The website www.cyberknifesupport.org is a fantastic website; it was invaluable to me in not only the days leading up to us learning that Alan could indeed have Cyberknife treatment but also in the many months since his treatment. I still regularly use the website.
The US website is run by a group of people whose live have been touched by Cyberknife. Its aim is to offer support and advice to those people who are considering or have already had Cyberknife.
On the website there is an open forum, where you can post a message on it about absolutely anything to do with Cyberknife; in particular the most important question, are you eligible to have Cyberknife treatment? Your questions will be answered by a small group of US doctors who practise Cyberknife at various locations across America. The doctors will give you a very honest answer to your questions.
Two of the doctors, in particular, Dr Clinton Medberry and Dr Jerome Spunberg, dedicate a vast amount of their time to helping and advising people on the website and their replies are often given within 24 hours of you posting your message. Their replies, where appropriate, are often quite amusing!
This website was my lifeline in the early days and I spent many an hour posting question after question. If you want to read my many postings you can find them under the ‘pancreas’ section and my username is JANBO.
It is definitely worth visiting this site.
