March 17th
Time is certainly flying by. It is now 2 ½ years since Alan had his Cyberknife treatment at Georgetown University Hospital. It doesn’t seem five minutes has passed since we were sat in the hospital waiting room but incredibly Alan is still here, fit and fighting the cancer fight.
March 16th
On the 14th November 2009, the 3rd Annual CK Ball took place at The Alton Towers Hotel. Over 430 guests attended the ‘black tie’ event, raising a staggering £25,000 for the Trust. The is the largest amount of money that the Trust has raised from one single event and will be a huge boost to our long term target of raising £2million, so that a Cyberknife system can be purchased for the Northwest of England.
December 8th
The CK Ball 2009 has drawn to a close and again has proven to be a huge success. The Trust has received many positive comments about how enjoyable the night was. Over 430 guests attended the Ball and a great time was had by all those attended.

On Wednesday 2nd December, our campaign to get CyberKnife on the NHS will be making its way to Parliament.

In February 2009, Alan reached the milestone of eighteen months post Cyberknife treatment. We can’t believe how the time has flown.

We have only just discovered this vital piece of information but it has been in the news since January 2009. From April 1st 2009, all cancer patients will be entitled to exemption from NHS prescription charges. I wish this had been current throughout the whole of Alan’s illness; I think we could have gone on a round-the-world cruise with the amount of money we have spent over the last 9 years on prescription medicines!

The Cyberknife Centre London has finally started treating patients. The clinic is located at The Harley Street Clinic on Harley Street London. The Cyberknife Centre belongs to the private hospital group, HCA.

The Trust is pleased to announce The CK Ball 2009. This will be our 3rd annual Ball and so far the 2 previous CK Ball’s have been a huge success.
February 2nd
The Stan Bowley Cyberknife Trust has recently launched The CK Lottery. The aim of the lottery is to help raise funds for the Trust, so that a Cyberknife system can be purchased for the Northwest of England.
Janurary 15th
Plans are now underway for The CK Ball 2009. The CK Ball will be held at The Alton Towers Hotel, Staffordshire on Saturday 14th November, 2009. Tickets will be on sale from 1st June 2009, with a deposit being required of £15 per person. Confirmation of the cost of tickets will be announced by the Trust in the forthcoming weeks.
December 2nd
Since Alan’s story has been featured in the national newspapers in August 2008, many people have contacted us to enquire about Cyberknife. All of these people are suffering the same dreadful disease as Alan but sadly for some, learning about Cyberknife has come too late for them.
December 1st
The 2nd annual CK Ball was held on 15th November 2008 at The Alton Towers Hotel, Staffordshire. The Ball was attended by over 200 people. It was a huge success and a great night was had by all those attended.

The Stan Bowley Cyberknife Trust will be holding their first fund-raising event since becoming a Charity.
June 16th
This web site has been started to tell people about our battle with cancer, our discovery and Alan’s subsequent treatment by the Cyberknife System.
May 1st
The Harley Street Clinic in London is currently in the process of setting up the UK’s first Cyberknife Centre. The centre is due to open in the Autumn 2008.
