The 2nd annual CK Ball was held on 15th November 2008 at The Alton Towers Hotel, Staffordshire. The Ball was attended by over 200 people. It was a huge success and a great night was had by all those attended. Both a raffle and an auction were held, with holidays to Spain, weekend breaks to Alton Towers being amongst the prizes.
Over £9000 was raised on the night; which will be paid into our Trust to help raise funds to purchase a Cyberknife machine in the future.
The Ball was attended by Richard Coleman and his family, who travelled from their home in London. Richard received Cyberknife treatment in Philadelphia, USA, 6 months ago for a pancreatic tumour. Richard was in fine form and looked a picture of health (in fact he was one of the last one’s to bed at 4am!). Richard is due to have his 6 month post Cyberknife CT scan at the end of November. We all wish Richard the best of luck with his scan and hope and pray that he receives the results he so deserves.
Plans are already underway for The CK Ball 2009. The date of the Ball will be released in January 2009, with tickets on sale in June 2009.
